[Homepage][Documentation][Quick Start Tutorial]Procedural Planets and Stars is a highly customizable unity asset made for 2D as well as 3D space games.
All shaders are custom made from the ground up. You can use these shadersas low impact or quite heavy with an impressive amount ofdetail. In almost all of the shaders, you will find that you can turn a lot of effects on or off.
Made as part of my shader language learning process.
Meshes:- Double-sided plane
- Sphere meshes (6x)
Scripts:- GradientGenerator
- Easy-to-use procedural generation scripts
Shaders: - Solid planet
- Gas planet
- Sun
- Planetary ring
All textures are generated with Substance Archives at run-time. Sizes range from 64px to 2048px and soon 4096px for Unity 2018.
Properties can be changed in real-time, meaning that planets can be animated.
Unity 2017.3 and 2017.4 will display some warnings about "Procedural Materials" being deprecated in future versions of Unity. Regardless, the asset still fully works on these versions.
Unity 2018 dependency: Substance in Unity. Make sure you import dependencies before importing this asset.
Unity 2018 does not support "Procedural Materials" anymore. Allegorithmic will release their own plugin for Unity 2018 instead. The plugin "Substance in Unity" is already live but still in its beta phase.
Visit my website for high quality images or if you have issues with Substances in Unity 2018.
